Equal parts tender and untamed, Renée Coughlin's songwriting and performance traces the strange beauty of being human – hope firmly rooted next to grief, love next to longing. After nearly a decade of touring internationally with acclaimed indie-folk trio, The Pairs, Renée has begun to develop her career as a solo artist as well. Leaning further into heartfelt storytelling, Renée’s music lands somewhere between confession and campfire mythology. With an honesty that can quiet a room, Renée’s lyrics, melodies and performances create a world that is beautifully open and unresolved.

On her new EP, Quit My Habit, country-folk singer-songwriter Rebekah Hawker infuses stories of loss (of family, lovers, youth) with wisdom and resilience.;  crafting quotidian songs in her distinctive blend of open-hearted country. Having established an impressive career at lightning pace through her late twenties - opening for acclaimed acts like The Good Lovelies, Rum Ragged, and Jim Cuddy; garnering accolades like winning Mariposa Folk Festival’s Emerging Artist Showcase in 2024; and gracing world-class stages like Massey Hall - this EP sees Hawker slowing down and reckoning with what really matters.
